Part of the BCloudHub family · Prices in ZAR
Replication, failover, and replica-side monitoring — managed as one package, not assembled from parts. Every tier ships with a minimum of two VPN-networked nodes, 14-day binlog retention, and the full monitoring stack from day one.
Database high availability fails in the details — the parts that are tedious to build correctly and easy to skip under deadline pressure. Here's what's actually running underneath every tier.
Global Transaction Identifiers instead of binlog-position replication, so a replica can be repointed at a new source without hand-tracking log coordinates — the difference between a failover that's routine and one that's a 2am incident.
Long enough to recover a replica that fell behind or was rebuilt, without re-seeding a full dataset from scratch — a default most managed database offerings treat as a paid add-on.
Schema migrations are blocked automatically if a replica is unhealthy or lagging past a safe threshold — so a routine deploy can't silently widen a replication gap you won't notice until it's a real problem.
Replica lag, thread status, and binlog-purge risk are metrics you can see, not symptoms you find out about from a slow page. Growth and up adds live alerting on top of the same data.
Replication traffic between nodes rides a dedicated VPN mesh — it never touches a public IP behind a firewall allow-rule, on any tier, starting from Starter.
Starter, Growth, and Enterprise are the same underlying package template at different node counts — upgrading is a scoped change, not a rebuild.
Every Database LB package ships with the same operational baseline from Starter upward — because the alternative is finding out what's missing during an incident.
Fully managed, VPN-networked replication. Starter and Growth prices are the ceiling for that tier — final cost is confirmed at scoping and may land lower.

A different build, not a bigger Growth
Enterprise is always custom-quoted. No VAT is charged. Need application-tier redundancy too? See App Load Balancer.
A flat R1,500 on both Starter and Growth. It reflects real load-balancer, replication, and monitoring configuration work — not bare server provisioning. Enterprise treats R1,500 as a floor; real quotes scale with node count and scope.
The full monitoring stack, TLS verified end-to-end against a package-issued internal CA, VPN-meshed replication traffic, and secrets loaded from .env/vault are baseline on every tier, including Starter — see Included above.
Database LB (this page) is managed MySQL/MariaDB high availability — replication, failover, and replica-side monitoring. App LB is managed high availability for your application layer instead — multiple app nodes behind a health-checked load balancer. Many customers run both together — see App Load Balancer.
Yes. Every package ships with a minimum of two VPN-networked nodes. There is no single-node package sold as "high availability."
There's no VAT to add. Tutajua (Pty) Ltd, the company behind BCloudHub, is not currently a registered VAT vendor, so the ZAR prices shown are what you pay. Starter and Growth prices shown are the ceiling for that tier, confirmed exactly at scoping; Enterprise is always custom-quoted.
Yes. Every tier is built from the same underlying package template, so moving up is a scoped upgrade — adding a hot-standby node and wiring in the next tier's monitoring — rather than a rebuild from scratch.
